Tomales Point Tuesday

Let's start with the mole problem. Yesterday, one of my mole traps got sprung. I examined the trap; pulled it out of the ground. No mole in it. I poked around in the ground and found nothing. False alarm? So I thought. However, for the last 24 hours we have had zero mole activity. I left two traps in the ground (guarded by a black rooster). Time will tell.

Tragic news today. A good friend's grandson drowned on a camping trip. So sad. One day before his 21st birthday. Beth has been crying all day.

Beth, Meyer and I went on a long hike in Pt. Reyes National Seashore. The Tomales Point Trail.

9.7 mile round trip. Beth did six miles. Meyer and I went all the way to Tomales Point and back. Beautiful coastline.

The Pacific Ocean to the left (West) and Tomales Bay to the right. Tomales Point is spectacular.

The Tule Elk are accustomed to strangers. We did not interrupt their meal.

We saw salmon fishing boats at anchor in Bodega Bay.

Another barn at the beginning/end of the trail.

I could bearly eat dinner; Beth and Meyer wore my favorite shirts.

After dinner, Meyer and I drove to Pt. Reyes Station to get provisions (i.e. ice cream). I remembered that there are a couple of old barns in town.

I plan to go to SF tomorrow. Mess around on the boat a bit. Fishing on Thursday!!!
